The Shepherd-Neame microbrewery is a small scale brewing operation, which will allow Shepherd Neame to brew speciality ales in small quantities for special occasions and events. The speciality brews will then be available for a limited time in local pubs. Head brewer Stewart Main is planning an extensive programme of limited edition ales for 2009, making full use of Faversham's pilot brewery. These have included; O'Mallies Double Stout - St Patricks Day Robbie Burns Special - Burns Night Heart Warmer - Valentines Day Dragon's Fire - St George's Day
New ideas include bespoke beers to celebrate Father's Day and Halloween, and possibly a double IPA using American Simcoe and Centinnial hops to mark US Independence Day.
The microbrewery will continue to brew special ales for beer festivals.
